Description
Mourning headcloth made of white cotton batiste, embroidered with white cotton thread. The surface is completely filled. In the corner is an eight-petaled flower, surrounded by round flowers and apples. The centers of all flowers are simply meshed. Between the flowers are small round openwork motifs with diamonds in the center. Strážov-type bobbin lace. Techniques: satin stitch, full stitch, mesh fillings, spider-web fillings worked with linen thread, eyelets. Measurements: 100 x 100 cm linen, 17 cm lace. A later work, possibly from the art workshop active after the First World War at the Czech Union of Women and Girls in Pilsen.
